Property Summary:

The Cerro Tango property is an early-stage gold prospect located in western Honduras approximately 45 km ESE from the Guatemala border and 35 km NE from the El Salvador border in Ocotepeque Department. The property is held 100% by Quest International and consists of one concession encompassing 28 sq km. The village of Belen Gualcho (3,000 pop.) lies near the center of the concession. Access from the large industrial city of San Pedro Sula is good via 175 km of two-lane paved highway and then becomes fair via 34.4 km of dirt road. The property is in hilly terrain with elevations ranging from 1300 to 2100 m above sea level. Vehicle access on the property is good.

The target at Cerro Tango is a high-level, epithermal "hot springs" gold-silver system occurring as disseminated and/or structurally controlled mineralization hosted in altered Tertiary volcanics. Chalcedonic and opaline "sinter", vuggy quartz veins with pyrite, and explosion breccias are locally present. Alteration consists of widespread argillization and local silicification. The old Durazno antimony prospect is on the property and consists of a breccia pipe (?) containing massive to semi-massive stibnite and brecciated and pyritized stockworks. Local saprolite is a major encumbrance to geologic mapping. Bulk-sediment (pan concentrate) sampling, soil sampling, and rock-chip sampling have identified anomalous pathfinder elements of As, Sb, and Hg; Au and Ag are enriched in soils. Four angle core holes were drilled by Quest in 1996 in which two holes hit the "edge" of a hydrothermal system with encouraging pathfinder elements: Hg 1-20 ppm; As >200 ppm; Ag 14-32 ppm.

Greenstone's San Andres gold deposit (1 MM oz mineable + 1 MM oz resource) is approximately 35.3 km northwest of Cerro Tango and is a high-level, epithermal quartzcarbonate-adularia system consisting of veins, stockworks, and dissemations hosted in Cretaceous-Tertiary sedimentary and volcanic rocks.

Quest is seeking a partner to conduct aditional field work to further identify and prioritize drill targets. This work would include photogeologic interpretation, geologic mapping and sampling, and exploration trenching. A modest drilling program would follow.

Geology Summary:

Formal designation of formations is uncertain. Possibly Padre Miguel Group and/or Matagalpa volcanic series. Geology is poorly exposed due to saprolite and vegeta tion. Good roadcut exposures. Glassy dacite/vitrophyre, airfall tuffs, rhyolite domes. Strong argillic alteration with local silicification. Steep, conical hills yield float containing brecciated, veined, sulfidized, and silicified rock. Property needs geologic mapping.

Geochemistry Summary:

Bulk-Sediment: 47 samples; 12 samples with detectable Au w/ a high of 510 ppb. Soil Samples: 387 samples; 77 samples with detectable Au >20 ppb Au w/ high of 300 ppb Au. Rock-Chips: 112 samples; 55 samples w/ detectable Au >20 ppb with high of 1200 ppb Au. Silver ranged from 0.05 to 55 ppm Ag.

Geophysics Summary:

None

Drilling Summary:

Four angle core holes drilled in 1996 for a total of 726.5 m. Spilt drill core and drill logs are available. Holes CT-96-1 and CT-96-2 hit the "edge" of a hydrothermal system with encouraging pathfinder elements: Hg 1-20 ppm; As>200 ppm; Ag 14-32 ppm. Core is in Honduras.

Reserves Summary

No resources have been identified to date.

Other:

Quest maintains an exploration office in San Pedro Sula with a bilingual Honduran exploration manager with a degree in geology from the Colorado School of Mines. A property visit can be easily arranged. There is an international airport in San Pedro Sula which is serviced daily by American and Continental Airlines.
